The Calico Story
Our mission statement is simple: To promote the conservation of our streams and rivers by advancing the sport of fly fishing.
Calico bush grows along the streams and rivers of Alabama. Many a fly fisherman has gotten snagged in the crooked trunks and interwoven limbs of this evergreen. But when the Calico’s white and pink flowers bloom, we are called to the water for some of the best fishing of the year.

Our mission is guided by our core values:
Conservation: We will not be able to enjoy our public waterways if they are not cared for. We will give our time, abilities, and funds to do so.
Inclusion: Fly fishing is an incredible sport. It is our goal to introduce as many people from all walks of life to the activity that offers us so much enjoyment.
Quality: While our goal is to offer equipment that everyone can afford, we are not willing to sacrifice quality to do so. Everyone deserves quality equipment that keeps them on the water.
